BMT looks back at milestones reached in 2025, from new releases and features, to ISO standards certification and joint ventures.
2025 was a year packed with milestones for BMT.
We began in February with the launch of our new website. Clearer navigation, improved accessibility and streamlined content made it easier for visitors to explore the software we build and license.
In July, we welcomed our partners and clients to BMT’s 2025 Client Summit at BAFTA’s Piccadilly headquarters. Together, we explored AI, collaboration and what’s next for our sector. The BFI and BAFTA albert gave presentations on how they use Nucleus. Workshops followed with open discussion and practical insight shaping the day, reinforcing a shared ambition to innovate responsibly and with purpose.
August marked a significant achievement: ISO 27001 certification for our Information Security Management System. This formal recognition reflects the robust data protection measures embedded across our systems and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to safeguarding client information with care and accountability.
In September, we introduced a new Public Voting platform. Built on Cloudflare, this hugely scalable software platform added a new capability for delivering BAFTA’s awards. Secure and configurable from the admin screens of our existing Nucleus platform, Public Voting enables organisers to broaden engagement by running audience awards while maintaining trust at every stage of the process.
October saw the launch of Project Aperture, a two year joint venture R&D project with lead partner Creative Diversity Network (CDN) responding to the BFI Challenge Fund Call 3, which is designed to strengthen equality, diversity and inclusion data collection and reporting in the UK film sector. Through collaboration and data-led insight, the project supports meaningful, long-term change.
Throughout the year, we were also technical consultants to CDN on designing a new Diversity monitoring system for the UK’s television industry. Diamond 2.0 is due to launch in summer 2026.
We closed the year in December with our Cloud Studio evolving high-quality streaming for hybrid events, helping clients deliver professional, reliable broadcast experiences to remote audiences.
Throughout 2025, many of our team have also been working to build a Next Generation Carbon Calculator Toolkit for BAFTA albert and their funders, which is due for launch summer 2026.
